 Parents/Teachers &  Friends Association

The general aim of the PTFA is to promote the welfare of the students through parental involvement in the school. This organization is established to strengthen communication between parents, students, and staff.

PTFA is not in existence to change school policy, but rather to work alongside Westcoast School's adminstrative staff to promote fellowship, supply volunteers and promote public relations for the school.

To create a school climate that is open, helpful and friendly.

To improve parent/family involvement.

To design more effective forms of communication to reach parents. Get every family involved; not simply those most easily reached.

To foster communication between parents, staff and students with the interest of promoting understanding and cooperation.

To encourage parents in support of extracurricular activities of the school.

To assist with fundraising to enhance school programs.

As a current teacher or parent of a current student, you are automatically a member of the PTFA.  The extent to which you get involved is up to you as the Lord leads you and your schedule permits.  Without parent volunteers,  the committee cannot function.

For further information or to volunteer contact Faye Hendon.

The following Parent's Code must be subscribed to and implemented by all parents that enroll their children at Westcoast School:

1. I will pray for Westcoast School.

2. I will cooperate fully in the educational functions of Westcoast School, doing my best to make Christian education effective in the life of each of my children that he or she may love and serve the Lord Jesus Christ all of his or her life.

3. I will pay all of my financial obligations to Westcoast School on or before the date due. If I am ever unable to pay on time, I will adequately communicate with the Business Office in an effort to rectify the situation.

4. I will support the school by gifts, in addition to my tuition payments and fees, as the Lord enables.

5. I will undertake volunteer duties and responsibilities for Westcoast School as opportunities arise and as God provides time and strength.

6. I will recommend Westcoast School to other families as opportunities arise.

7. I will attend meetings and parent functions of the school regularly, even though I may not be able to achieve perfect attendance.

8. If I become dissatisfied with the school in any respect, I will seek to resolve the matter with the person or persons involved rather than begin to spread criticism or hold a negative attitude in my heart.

9. I will seek the advancement of Westcoast School; in all areas, spiritually, academically and physically.
